India

Calcutta street scene
"Many, many people hereabouts are not becoming Christians for one reason only: there is nobody to make them Christians.  ...

"[Would they but] listen actively to what God is saying to them.  They would forget their own desires, their human affairs, and give themselves over entirely to God’s will and his choice.  They would cry out with all their heart: Lord, I am here!  What do you want me to do?  Send me anywhere you like - even to India."

 - St. Francis Xavier to St. Ignatius of Loyola, India, 1542-1544

We have already been serving on short ministry trips with the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta and our ministry has received the blessing of Sr. Prema, Mother Superior of the Missionaries of Charity.

We are opening a regular mission to Goa, India this coming year.  Our program director just completed her 5th successful trip to Goa to continue to lay the groundwork to establish our mission there.  We are grateful to the priests, sisters and lay leaders of the Archdiocese of Goa who have shown their incredible support.

With a Catholic population of about 30%, Goa has the largest concentration of Catholics in all of India.  We hope to work together with the Archdiocese of Goa to continue in their efforts to provide strong ministries to serve the young adult population, help lay Catholics discern their calling in Christ, serve the numerous social justice needs in the area, and be a fount of evangelization for India and all who come to visit the region.

Please contact us if you're interested in serving with us in India in 2019.

St. Francis Xavier, pray for us!
