Overseas Ministries

Hong Kong

In Spring 2016, we began sending our first lay missionaries to serve in Hong Kong - an important gateway to East Asia with its blend of modern and traditional, East and West, and a diverse mix of people and backgrounds.

With just under 10% of Hong Kong baptized as Christians and a population with as much socio-economic diversity as it has ethnic variety, there are a myriad of opportunities to serve as a life witness of God's grace and to share God's love with others.

Our goal is to reach out to young adults within the more metropolitan areas to help them engage more fully with their faith and discern God's will for their lives.  Much of this will be through developing and leading faith formation programs, empowering a young adult lay leadership, and doing grassroots evangelical and service ministry.  We hope to serve in warm cooperation with the efforts of local parishes and religious orders.

Following a transformative experience to India in 2012 and requests from local church leaders to send missionaries to engage Indian young adults more intentionally in their faith, we began to develop programs with priests and sisters in southern India to help form young Christians more fully in their faith and share the faith with the curious.

In the land of St. Thomas the Apostle, St. Francis Xavier and St. Teresa of Calcutta you will find a deep rich faith in many Indians.  Yet the struggle in India as in much of the rest of the world, is truly engaging young adults in their faith and encouraging others to see how Christ has called them to be a bold witness of their faith.

The Christian faith is very much alive in many regions throughout India, and we serve to help it to flourish further with many opportunities for evangelization, faith formation and social justice.
